Psychotherapy can be helpful for a range of problems including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, eating problems, trauma, anger and relationship difficulties.
I offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples. I have been in private psychotherapy practice in Toronto for several years, and also lead the Toronto Sleep Institute's psychotherapy program for chronic insomnia.
Most extended health benefits plans provide at least some coverage for my services. I have a limited number of spaces available at a lower rate for clients who are on a low income.
My office is conveniently located at Yonge @ Saint Clair intersection, just across the Saint Clair Subway Station entrance.
I am a member of the following professional associations and societies:
Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP)
International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy
American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
American Psychological Association Division of Psychoanalysis
Toronto Society for Contemporary Psychoanalysis
International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP).
After earning my medical degree and finishing residency training in psychiatry in Turkey, I immigrated to Toronto to continue my studies and research in the psychotherapies. I have earned my diploma in psychoanalysis from the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, and advanced certificate in cognitive behaviour therapy from the joint program of the University of Toronto and the Hincks-Dellcrest Institute.
Evening sessions may be available.
